This
year we will be holding the Big Blether in the first weekend in October
(1st- 3rd). We are going further north than in previous years- and have
arranged to hold the event in Culdees an embryonic community situated
in Fearnan on the north side of Loch Tay in Perthshire.map
here.
For travel information click here.
Our
hosts Maryse (a reiki practictioner) and her husband Anu (a retired
GP come herb-doctor) have generously agreed to host us in a beautiful
location they are transforming into a permaculture community.
The
site looks south over Loch Tay and includes lots of space (plenty that's
flat) for camping, parking and event domes etc, we should also have
the use of a 30’ across tipi as well as a barn and possibly some
other structures in case the weather isn’t too friendly - fingers
crossed for a late summer though.
(for local weather click
here)
Most people will have to camp but a limited amount of B&B and
hostel accommodation has been block-booked for those in need- please
let us know early if you wish to be considered. For more details about
the accomodation see Maryse and Anu's website: www.culdeesbunkhouse.co.uk.
Unfortunately the venue is not easy to reach via public transport –
10 miles from Aberfeldy, 24 from Pitlochry. We are running a minibus
between Pitlochry/Aberfeldy and Culdees- please see the travel
page for further information.
